TCLC News - November 3, 2026
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
Here is a look at what's happening at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church this week.
A Word for This Week
Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them. The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up. The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed...
Lord God, when trumpets sound and the world around us seems shaken, remind us that all of history rests in your hands.
Keep our eyes fixed on the Lamb who was slain and who reigns, so that fear does not have the last word in our hearts.
Where there is suffering in the world this week, make us people of hope who share what we have with those in need. Amen.
Bring Your Change for Gifts of Love — November 8
Our children are collecting loose change and paper bills every Sunday in November for Lutheran World Relief Gifts of Love. Their goal is farm animals for families in need: $80 sends a hen and chicks, and $100 sends a goat. Please bring your spare change this Sunday, November 8. Remaining collections are November 8, 15, 22, and 29. Learn more in Gifts of Love: How Your Spare Change Can Give a Family a Goat.
Thanksgiving Potluck — November 15
A reminder that our Thanksgiving Potluck is Sunday, November 15, following worship. Come give thanks together around the table with your church family. The sign-up sheet is in the Fellowship Hall, so please add your name and the dish you plan to bring.
