Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

Here is a look at what's happening at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church this week.

A Word for This Week

Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person — such a person is an idolater — has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.

— Ephesians 5:1-6 (NIV)

Gracious God, you call us to follow your example as your dearly loved children and to walk in the way of love.

May your Spirit guard our hearts and lips, filling us with gratitude rather than greed and with kindness rather than careless words.

Strengthen us to reflect the love of Christ in our homes, our workplaces, and our congregation, offering our lives as a fragrant gift to you. Amen.

New This Week

In case you missed Cindy's sermon last Sunday:

Who Do You Say That I Am? Peter's Confession and the Church — Jesus asks his disciples the question that still echoes through the ages. Peter's bold answer—and what Christ builds upon it—speaks directly to who we are as a congregation today.
